Anwar is a zealous attorney with an individualized and strategic approach when fighting for patients, families, and their loved ones who have suffered a catastrophic injury. A Philadelphia native, Anwar has quickly proven to be a genuine, yet tough and tireless advocate when representing victims in the Philadelphia community and throughout Pennsylvania in cases against large institutions, hospitals and insurance companies.

At VSCP LAW, Anwar focuses his practice on cases involving severe and permanent injuries from medical malpractice, wrongful death, civil rights violations as well as institutional failures resulting in sexual abuse.

Consistent with his work at VSCP LAW, Anwar’s legal career reflects a history of representing individuals when they need help. In his final year at Rutgers Law School, Anwar was recognized with the pro-bono award for significant service upon graduation. During law school, Anwar also volunteered with Philadelphia Volunteer Lawyers for the Arts (PVLA) identifying key legal and factual issues to ensure people received adequate representation. Immediately upon graduation, Anwar gained his first practical experience as a lawyer by providing a variety of legal services to low- income New Jersey residents through the Rutgers Law Associates Fellowship Program.

Anwar is admitted to practice in Pennsylvania and in the United States District Court for the Western District of Pennsylvania. He is originally from Southwest Philadelphia and attended Philadelphia public schools before graduating from West Chester University and Rutgers Law School in Camden, New Jersey. Upon graduation from Rutgers Law, Anwar was also recognized for his excellence in legal writing by winning the Greg Lastowka Writing Competition.

Anwar was also recently elected to serve as treasurer of the Barrister’ Association of Philadelphia, an organization founded in 1950 to address the professional needs and development of Black lawyers in the city.

In addition to his law practice, Anwar actively engages in his community. Prior to law school, Anwar spent several years volunteering with a local non-profit organization focused on servicing underprivileged populations in Philadelphia.
